Termate simplifies switchboard construction and design

Termate Limited
Stand 5B29, Hall 5
Middle East Electricity 2010
Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre
9 – 11 February 2010

Products that simplify the construction and design of switchboards and other power assemblies are in the spotlight on the Termate stand at Middle East Electricity 2010. The equipment on show, all of which combines versatility and guaranteed performance with value for money, includes withdrawable chassis units, low-smoke zero-halogen busbar supports and stand-off insulators.

Also on the Termate stand will be representatives from kA Testing Services, an organisation that offers a comprehensive package of switchgear testing services in line with IEC 60439-1, IEC 61439-1 and other major international standards; and from 3 Phase Design, an expert consultancy service for those engaged in the development and manufacture of LV electrical power products and switchgear.

Termate MMX withdrawable chassis units on show at the exhibition speed and simplify the task of designing and producing fault-rated withdrawable motor control centres (MCCs). Designed to fit easily into the user’s own steelwork, the units are ASTA certified with a fault rating of 50 kA for 1 second. They are available in four heights and are supplied complete with slide rails, shutter assemblies and auxiliary contact mounting rails.

Termate is also showing its MX range of low-smoke zero-halogen busbar supports, which have been proven by test to offer dependable performance in fault-rated designs. Offered in three- and four-pole versions suitable for use with one or two busbars per phase, MX supports are a versatile and cost-effective choice for use in equipment with fault ratings up to 65 kA.

The stand-off insulators being exhibited by Termate are versatile problem solvers for a wide range of switchgear, traction and industrial applications. Glass-fibre and polyamide versions will be on display, in a range of profiles and sizes to suit virtually every requirement.

Throughout the exhibition, experts from Termate will be available on the stand to provide further details of the products on show, and to provide advice and information relating to visitors’ own specific requirements and applications. A seminar will be run by 3 Phase Design that will explain the implications of IEC61439 for switchgear manufacturers and electrical designers.
