WITH MEGGER, CONTRACTORS GET THEIR TEETH INTO BLUETOOTH
Sales of Megger’s latest MFT1553 On-site multifunction installation tester and software package have exceeded all expectations as contractors have been quick to realise the benefit and convenience of being able to transfer test results via a wireless Bluetooth connection to a laptop or mobile device running certification software.
The Bluetooth-enabled MFT1553 is the latest addition to Megger’s hugely successful range of MFT multifunction testers, all of which provide the full range of facilities needed for testing electrical installations in line with the 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations, and Part P of the Building Regulations. All testers in the range are also supplied with a calibration certificate as standard.
“A typical reaction from customers who’ve bought the MFT1553 On-site package is that they can’t believe how much time it saves,” said Megger’s Julian Grant. “That’s not only because there are no wired links to set up, but also because there’s no need to transfer results manually to a certificate or certification programme, and because the risk of making mistakes is eliminated.”
“The customers also love the option to use Smart phones and hand-held computers to capture the results,” he continued, “as these tiny devices are often much more convenient to carry around than a laptop PC. Word about the speed and convenience of the MFT1553 is obviously spreading, as we’ve had to increase production to meet the demand!”
The PowerSuite software in the MFT1553 On-site package is among the most versatile of its type, and is available in versions for use on almost any hardware platform from a smart mobile phone to a full-blown PC. In addition to Windows, operating systems such as Symbian S60, and PalmOS V5 are fully supported.
The software includes over 25 certificates from the IEE, ECA, NICEIC and ELECSA, and also provides facilities for the generation of user-designed certificates.
Taken together, the components of the MFT1553 On-site package provide a comprehensive testing solution for contractors which offers safety, convenience and value for money, unmatched by any other product or combination of products currently available.
